Hugh Bennett was the Valle Crucis community's own Mr. Apple Butter. Under his leadership, the Apple Butter Gang faithfully demonstrated the traditional mountain method of making apple butter to Valle Country Fair goers for ____ years. Hugh painstakingly researched the "old mountain" apple butter recipe of this area, making Valle Country Fair apple butter unique and highly sought after. The Valle Country Fair offers lots of distractions for every member of the family.  There is an activity area where kids can play games, bowl with pumpkins and busy their hands with arts and crafts.  Other diversions include visiting with live alpacas, face painting and keeping time with the stomping feet of local clog teams.
